2009: completed Doctorate at the Free University of Berlin with the grade “cum laude”. Theme of the Dissertation: The “Young” Ernst Krenek. The Transition from Tonality to Atonality. 1919 – 1921. Advisor: Professor Dr. Emeritus Rudolf Stephan.

1979 – 1983: Musicology Major at the University of Munich.

1984: Masters: Major in Musicology with minors in Medieval Latin and Modern History. Master's Thesis: Charles Ives `”Concord Sonata”.

1982 – 1984: Composition with George Byrd.

1977 - 1979: Move to Munich. Piano studies with Greville Rothon and Wolfgang Leibnitz.

1976: Privat piano studies with William Goodrum at the Syracuse University.

1971 – 1975: Music Studies at Boston in Conservatory with a Bachelor in Music Education. Main Instruments Piano and Voice.

Music composition with Dr. Earl George at Syracuse University during the summer semesters.
